Isle de Maurice won well just ten days ago at Plumpton, and whilst that wasn't the greatest of races, the manner of his victory suggests that he has more to give and he gets the vote to defy his penalty, with Mylo and Swift Sailor fighting it out for the runner-up spot. The selection appreciated the step up in trip when winning last time out at Plumpton, and whilst he drops in trip today, the going should ensure that it is a good test of stamina and he must have leading claims. Mylo's second three weeks ago was an encouraging return to form, and he looks weighted to mount a serious challenge today. However with a record of three wins in 42 runs with 18 places suggests that he could be booked for more place, and not win money today. Swift Sailor has been running consistently this winter and brings some very solid form into the race. He was only beaten a length last time out, and whilst he is now 11lbs above his last winning mark, he looks one of the more progressive horses in the lineup and this course and distance winner must be respected. Of the rest, Heir To Be takes a drop in class so must be respected, however he may just need some more help from the handicapper before he goes in again, although he will be at home in the ground. We return then to recent winner Isle De Maurice to land the spoils again.
