Not a great handicap hurdle and a big field for punters to wade through. Winning form is at a premium and it may be the safest option to side with Kim Bailey's RUBY CROWN to follow up his recent Leicester success, while Goscar Rock looks the danger. Ruby Crown is up 8lbs for that heavy ground success, which was over slightly shorter. Clearly he will like these conditions and the trip holds no fears, so with little other inspiration we will side with him. Goscar Rock and Tarkesar were among the many recent victims of Little Shilling over three miles at Fakenham at the beginning of the month, and of course Tim Vaughan's runner will give us a bit of a clue as to the chances of that pair here from his run earlier on the card. Without that to go on you would have to say that both are of relatively modest ability but may again be capable of making the frame. Ilewin Rose is of interest with first-time blinkers applied after showing steady improvement, while Anna Panna has run well off higher marks than this and if she runs to her ability she should be in the shake-up. Calloff the Search has also probably got what it takes to get involved, but he would surely be better if the ground was good and in a race that is short on quality we'll think Ruby Crown can rule.
