In depth

Verdict

The mare Sovereign is in the form of her life at present and is taken to complete a quick hat trick at the main expense of Cedar Master and Red Canyon. The last mentioned is a consistent performer, who should be thereabouts again, but appears a shade high in the weights at present. Cedar Master won a novices' hurdle at Market Rasen last month but should find this tougher. The bottom weight Irishkawa Bellevue has to be respected in receipt of so much weight from Sovereign but Jim Panvert's mare can do little wrong at present and should be up to defying the burden of 11st 12lb.
