She's Humble is a speculative pick ahead of Owlesbury Dream and Vintage Fabric. Linda Jewell's mare is completely exposed but she has ran creditably in similar circumstances and with a couple of fitness worries about the others in this field, it might be worth chancing at her at what are likely to be favourable odds. Owlesbury Dream's better form has obtained on soft going. Nevertheless, she is likely to be fairly popular with Tony McCoy aboard. Vintage Fabric is fresh from victory over at Newton Abbot. He was beaten by Shanahan when the pair met in plating grade but would have reversed form had the latter stood up on that occasion. Anticipating handles the going but seems not to be particularly well treated at present by the assessor. Nevertheless, the choice between himself and Almizan, who was tailed off at Stratford, was probably an easy one for Jamie Moore. It wouldn't be the biggest of surprises were Ben de Haan capable of getting John Charles nearer to where he was. Time could tell us that Sumner was unfortunate to run up against something of Winter Star's caliber on just his fourth hurdling start. She's Humble is the call in a race that looks wide open on paper.
