Silence Reigns is the confident choice here with Placid Man and Benson the only others capable of troubling the selection. The gelding hails from the all-conquering Paul Nicholls yard and is dropped significantly in grade having run well in a class B handicap hurdle behind Mirjan at Ayr. With conditions in his favour he is clearly the form pick and looks the one to beat. Placid Man rates the main danger as he won in facile fashion last time when defeating Midy's Risk on this track. He will find this tougher but looks sure to run a big race. Benson would not be out of this on the pick of his form but he has been disappointing of late, so we return to Silence Reigns who gets the confident nomination.
