Fortune has deserted Theo's Charm over fences but he’s still looking a few pounds too high over hurdles. It’s more than 12 months since FOURTH ACT was last seen over the smaller obstacles but he’s dropped 10lb in the interim and hasn’t been disgraced in decent company over fences the last twice. I See You Well is still 7lb higher than when last successful and the jury is out on Chris Pea Green, who hasn’t had much racing the last two years. Roll Of The Dice is even harder to recommend.
Theo's Charm (IRE) 4-1 (12-3) Always behind, never a factor, tailed off, 9th of 11, dist behind Chef D'Equipe (11-12) at Sandown 2m 4f hcp (3) hvy in Jan.
I See You Well (FR) 5-2 (10-6) Pressed winner until 9th, chased leading pair, ridden and weakened and mistake 2 out, 3rd of 5, 18l behind Divine Spear (11-8) at Ascot 2m 1f hcp (3) sft in Dec.
Chris Pea Green 11-2 (11-10) Led to 2nd, one pace before last, 4th of 8, 20 1/4l behind De Rasher Counter (11-12) at Fontwell 2m 3f hcp (3) hvy in Jan.
Fourth Act (IRE) 10-1 (10-1) Held up behind, outpaced 3 out, never near leaders, 7th of 16, 15 3/4l behind Go Conquer (11-0) at Ascot 3m hcp (1) gd in Nov.
Roll Of The Dice (IRE) 11-1 (10-12) Never better than mid-division, weakened 6th, tailed off, eased, 11th of 13, dist behind Highway One O One (11-5) at Fontwell 2m 2f (4) sft in Dec.
