In depth

Verdict

A number of these are closely rated over jumps with our vote going to Brooklyn's Gold ahead of Ranelagh Gray and Master d'Or. Brooklyn's Gold ran well behind Tuesday's Child last time, and a repeat of that gives him a chance here in a run-of-the-mill contest. Master d'Or won over fences from a mark of 95 in October, but he'll need more today although he has to be considered. Ranelagh Gray has won off a mark of 102 over hurdles and has to be considered on his chasing debut, while Wenceslas has not yet built on his January novice hurdle win, but is surely better than that. Finally, Dictator showed improvement to finish second in a Doncaster maiden chase last time but, to be fair, that was an ordinary race. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Brooklyn's Gold.
