Apocalozzo has been in great form of late and is taken to win this at the expense of Yellow Flag and Mystical Star. The selection was the winner of a couple of point to points before winning a handicap chase at Fakenham last week. Connections have decided to run him quickly with a penalty before he is reassessed and he is likely to be well treated here as a result. Yellow Flag had just the one run over fences last summer when pulling up at Newton Abbot. He then won at Fakenham over hurdles but then shot up the weights as a result and has since failed to trouble the judge. Connections will have made sure he is well schooled and off this more favourable chase mark he would have to be respected. As will Mystical Star who has shown his fondness for the course having finished second on two occasions recently at the track and although his latest run was slightly below par he could pick up some place prize money. But for the winner we return to Apocalozzo.
