City Affair has run well enough in defeat in a couple of novice chases lately and deserves to get his head in front at the expense of Prince Ary and Ohana. The selection won three hurdle races for his connections last summer and has just been touched off by better horses in his two chase runs to date. He has jumped well on the whole and has shown that this trip suits so with that in mind he is taken to get his head in front. Prince Ary has been a decent performer over hurdles winning twice and once on the flat. Rated 80 on the flat and in the high 120¿s over hurdles he is in fact more highly rated than the selection. That said his form has been inconsistent of late and although he could prove to be a better chaser in time he is possibly best watched first time of asking. Ohana kept improving with experience to eventually break his maiden tag at Plumpton back in November. Its interesting that connections have decided to go chasing instead of handicap hurdling but he is bound to be well schooled so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to City Affair.
