hung left throughout, tracked winner, not fluent 8th, hit 3 out, every chance next, soon held, hung badly left, flat and not run on
made all, joined 2 out, hit last, driven clear flat
took keen hold and settled in 3rd, not quickened 2 out, stayed on to take 2nd near finish, no chance with winner
Celtic Star has proved disappointing this term but Tony McCoy should be capable of working his magic today. Nick Williams' representative does appear to have an unerring tendency to hang under pressure and this has been seen on his recent visits to Cheltenham and Chepstow. There could be no stronger handler in the saddle than the champion jockey and we select him in the hope that he makes Celtic Star's mind up for him in the closing stages. Haikal seems to produce his best efforts in smaller fields. He is likely to be held up in the hope that he can find something in the closing stages. Premier Estate unseated his rider when sent off favourite on his previous start. That said, he was beaten at the time. His form has been shown on softer surfaces although it is not uncommon for Satco's progeny to handle this faster ground. Celtic Star has that touch of class and is given our nod on this occasion.
