Verdict

A poor event in which ex-Irish hurdler Periwinkle Lad is anticipated to make the best of his way home at the expense of Diorama and Silent Sound. Chris Dwyer's charge has had some experience of chasing in Ireland and appears able to cope with any ground. He was slightly disappointing over fences at Plumpton but there is nothing of that caliber in opposition today. Diorama has disappointed after showing some ability over hurdles a couple of seasons ago. The market should be watched for any clues. Silent Sound is plating class over hurdles and fell at Huntingdon on chasing debut. He was remounted to finish fourth and may attempt to cut out the early pace. Lord Halfnothin is a former pointer in Ireland. He finish fourth in a confined Cork National Hunt Flat race and is watched on debut for Robert Alner. In a weak race, Periwinkle Lad is given a tentative nod.
