In depth

Verdict

El Viejo unseated his rider soon after the start here last month and is hard to recommend on that evidence and a safer bet looks to be recent Wincanton scorer Kosmos Bleu, who is preferred to Sento. The last mentioned made an encouraging return over course and distance last month following a long absence and has been given a nice break since then so there could easily be more to come from Alan King's gelding. Neltina is a consistent performer and she is entitled to be thereabouts again, while Eau Pure has given little sign of encouragement of late but does hail from the yard of Gary Moore that does exceptionally well with his runners here. Balladeer is difficult to catch right and a better bet looks to be Kosmos Bleu, who won with plenty in hand at Wincanton on Tuesday night and is taken to defy his penalty.
