Gross Prophet is in cracking form and comes here chasing a hat-trick, though his CV suggests that this trip will stretch his stamina and that, coupled with a rise of 6lb, means that we will take him on with GRAMS AND OUNCES. Amy Weaver's gelding is 4lb higher than when winning a soft ground Newmarket handicap earlier in the month and the manner of that success suggests that he can keep his nose in front here over his optimum distance. The Shuffler is another whose reserves of stamina will be tested, as a mile is more his bag, and unless they go a crawl he may struggle to get home. All The Winds has conditions in his favour, stays and is from a yard going reasonably well, so with first-time blinkers a potential plus he might go well at a price, though we'll weigh in with Grams And Ounces.
