        Verdict

        Most of these have questions to answer at present and quite a few have the ability to take the spoils if responding in the affirmative but STAR GRAZER is the percentage call and gets the nod. Limelight, Etta Place and Dixie Dean are respected opponents. Star Grazer is 2lbs higher than when finishing second on rain-softened ground at Yarmouth but she ran on well to score on fast ground the time before that and should be suited by the return to racing on a faster surface. Limelight, Etta Place and Dixie Dean have all been disappointing but it would be no great surprise if their talented trainers managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat and persuade one of them to put their head in front. If you've looked everywhere and still can't find the winner don't dismiss Ubiquitous, who shaped slightly better in a similar contest over 10 furlongs here last time, and may possibly progress again for this longer trip. Quite a bit of straw clutching is required to side with most of these; Star Grazer is the exception.
