In a race that is difficult to fully get a handle on, we just give the edge to Concert Hall over Observation. The Amanda Perrett-trained selection was placed in all three of her juvenile starts and, having shown fair form in the process, ought to be in the shake-up here. The unraced Observation is beautifully bred and, being from a good stable, looks set to go well. Concert Hall will certainly not lack for experience and, having been placed in all three starts to date, she ought to be in the shake-up. North Sea cost 130,000 guineas as a yearling but showed very little on her sole juvenile start but she ought to do better this year. Love Of Life is also nicely bred so it would be no surprise to see her go well, while Gretna, who hails from the John Dunlop stable, is another to keep an eye, although there is a strong suggestion that she too will appreciate further in time. With Frankie Dettori booked, the Brian Meehan-trained Saucy will also attract interest, while Boot 'N' Toot will probably be better over further in time. Chara has looked only modest so far and On Cloud Nine is stoutly bred on the dam's side of her pedigree. Having weighed things up, though, the narrow vote goes to Observation.
