In depth

Verdict

King's Fable gets a solid shout here ahead of Peas 'n Beans and Joy In The Guild. King's Fable has been sent down here from Mark Johnston's stable following a good Hamilton last time. He can make the clocked-up miles pay off here in this modest event. Irish Whispers showed improvement at Goodwood last time and could yet improve again. Peas 'n Beans has not been beaten too far in big-field handicaps on his last two starts and can go well again, particularly in this smaller field. Joy In The Guild came good in a seller last time but had been showing up in non-sellers prior to that so has to be given some thought, and you are going to have to monitor the betting with the likes of Captain Bolsh and Polish Welcome. Overall, then, once again the selection is King's Fable.
