As open a three-year-old race as you're likely to find and the most tentative of votes goes to Samurai Warrior ahead of New Balls Please and Outside Edge. Peter Makin has his horses in good form and whilst Samurai Warrior is no stable star, he ran his best race for some time recently at Leicester and could be capable of breaking his duck today. He responded well to the headgear last time and should go well here. Kannon is another maiden but he has been in good form since the application of the visor and is unlikely to be far away, New Balls Please was well-fancied when out of the frame recently and has something to prove, whilst Ma Mirage ran well two starts back before disappointing last time. Blinkers are tried on Tea Cake which could bring about some improvement, and whilst Outside Edge could snatch a place if back on song in this open affair, it is Samurai Warrior who can land the finale.
