Jim Best has got a good strike-rate on the flat this year and Manello warrants plenty of respect, however Romany Nights drops in class and assuming that he is fit he can go very close. The selection has been off the track for 232 days and he is not badly treated at the weights here. The stable are in good form and the eight-year-old knows how to win, having won seven times in his career to date. Mannello has now won two of his last four starts, all in this grade and he must rate as a big danger, especially with quick ground in his favour. High Reach is consistent and is unlikely to be too far away at the line, although he tends to find at least one too good. Gower Belle takes a drop in class but this nine-race maiden needs to start on the winning thread, whilst Midnite Blews has bits and pieces of form that make him competitive, with his run behind Enodoc looking solid. Penrice Castle has claims off his light racing weight, however it is Romany Nights who gets the nod.
