Verdict

A small field for this opener with the vote going to Arabian Art ahead of Kenton Street. The selection brings a solid level of form to the contest and Henry Cecil's filly would probably win this with a reproduction of her recent third at Brighton. She had previously been a ready winner at Warwick and this mark of 68 should not be beyond her. Blinkers are tried for the first time on Kenton Street; James Toller's son of Compton Place has shown some ability to date and the shades may sharpen him up somewhat. Nawaff has only tasted success once, back in his two-year-old days at Thirsk. He handles this ground well and shouldn't be too far away. Celtic Charlie and Dhahab are both out of form, whilst the same applies to Hobson but he is starting to look dangerously well-handicapped for a horse that was thought good enough to contest a Group Three as a juvenile. Arabian Art has the best form, and she gets the vote accordingly.
