Misternando looks to have been found another opportunity to add to his score at the expense of Sonoma and Burnt Copper. Misternando has posted five victories already this term and with the Cesarewitch muted as a distinct possibility - he will need to win a couple more in order to book his place at Newmarket. He seems at his best in smaller fields and he looks difficult to get away from in the nightcap. Sonoma didn't disgrace himself behind Tempsford at Nottingham on Monday. That was a step up in form on his win in a weak Catterick maiden and there should a small race for him somewhere but not here. Burnt Copper is substantially stepped up in trip but John Best is a very shrewd handler and any market vibes should be noted. Rouge Blanc suffered accidental interference from Misternando when they met at Nottingham on the 1st August. At the weights, there is a chance that he could reverse form although that would not allow for the fact that Mick Channon's horse has clearly improved since. The remainder make little appeal. We recommend a win bet on Misternando and a speculative each-way selection on Rouge Blanc.
