This looks a good opportunity for BILLY BEETROOT who is nominated over Shadow Bay and Fangfoss Girls. The selection has gone close on each of his last three starts, latterly in a handicap, and now that he is dropped in a seller he should be able to make up for his recent near misses. Shadow Bay was in good form towards the end of last year but he was very disappointing here earlier in the month, albeit in a handicap, and he will need to leave that running behind if he is to get competitive today. Fangfoss Girls has a good draw but she finished behind our selection last time out and it is hard to see her reversing the form today. Sorrel Ridge has yet to get his head in front and it will be surprise if he can end his losing sequence here. All of which returns us to Billy Beetroot as the pick.
