Not many that you can give a chance to here, but one of them is top weight Carandrew. On the book he clearly has the best form of these by some margin and only has 17lbs at most to concede to his rivals. Already five times a winner under A P McCoy, he looks to have been found a good opportunity to go in again, and he gets the vote, though the one slight reservation is his ability on this ground. Devote has no problems on that score as he does act with cut, and he is back on a winning mark after plummeting through the ratings following some indifferent efforts. However, despite his poor recent form, the drop plus conditions he loves mean that he can give the selection most to do. Of the remainder, the veteran Added Dimension may be good enough to get a place, though he is 11lbs higher than when last winning at Towcester 14 months ago and a win seems beyond his compass. Massenet was a winner when last seen out on the racetrack, in May 2001, but has clearly had problems. A repeat of that effort on this softer surface after such a long lay off seems unlikely and he is best watched here.
