Apt To Run, Art Man and Nefski Alexander could fight out the finish here, with the first named just gettinmg the nod. Ed Dunlop's colt has earned a rating of 70 following a couple of placed efforts this season. The form is nothing to right home about but this is a pretty modest event and he can lose his maiden tag today. Amanda Perrett is in cracking form and Art Man appears to be going the right way. He wasn't beaten too far behind Cousteau at Newmarket last time and if the faster ground doesn't prove to be a problem he should be involved in the finish. Eddie Ahern is an interesting booking for Nefski Alexander who put in his best display on fast ground when just three lengths behind Masterofthecourt in a decent enough race at Windsor. The rest make very little appeal and so in a race where it is difficult to split the three main contenders we will give a narrow vote to Apt To Run.
