A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Cantrip,Avanti Gran Dana and Mary Carleton and the tentative vote is given to the last named. The selection has dropped to a handy mark and ran as if a return to form was near when a close up sixth behind Whoopsie last time out, she has a good draw and looks the value bet in an open affair. Cantrip rates the main danger as he won well last time out when beating French Mannequin. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he is one of the least exposed in the field and has plenty of scope for improvement and will not be far away. Avanti is another that could go well as he also won well last time out but all his best form is on the AW and he will need to have improved dramatically to win this on his return to turf. Gran Dana is another with place claims on his best form but he is far from consistent and can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Iamback is from a yard in form and should be noted in the market but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Mary Carleton .
