The in-form Molotov has plenty in his favour and is selected over Cargo and La Calera, who spearhead the challenge of the rest. The last named is finding it hard to get her head in front and has a little to prove over this shorter trip, while Cargo is also on a long losing run and has surrendered too many chances to be given a solid vote of confidence this morning. Yorkies Boy is another that fits the frustrating profile of a horse that finds it hard to win, but he did at least run a good race last time. He should grant a good run for the money for those willing to take the plunge with this one-time Listed race contender. However, Molotov makes more appeal on recent form and, considering that his confidence will still be on a high after his win in a better race at Brighton, it would seem folly to desert him while he is at the top of his game.
