The draw bias is becoming unpredictable at Folkestone so the market will give a good guide here. The shortlist to bear in mind for consideration includes: Tanning, Diamond Josh and Persian Carpet, with preference given to the first named. A position on the far side for Hugh Morison's charge could be very beneficial if past history of such races is anything to go by and this stoutly-bred individual, who showed a good attitude last time, is expected to be suited by this step up in trip. Tanning has inherited a fair bit of speed from the dam side of his family and has been found a good opportunity to put it to god use today. Diamond Josh is expected to have learnt enough from his debut run to figure prominently today, while Persian Carpet has enjoyed no luck whatsoever in her last two outings and she deserves a change of fortune today. However, like Task's Muppet and Yeldham Lady, her tendency to find one too good is a little off putting and she may be frustratingly short of the mark again this afternoon. This brings us back to Tanning, who hails from a yard that does well with it's sprinters and he can come good at the third time of asking.
