Mon Petite Amour lines up fit and in form, and can prove too strong for Love Always, Pochard and Don't Mind Me, with Evolve worth a mention. Mon Petite Amour should not really be racing over middle-distances on breeding, being by Efisio out of a Music Boy mare, but there was a lot to like about the way that she stayed on when scoring over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton the other week, and with fitness assured, she is worth chancing. In contrast, Love Always has not been seen since finishing third over 14-furlongs at Salisbury in September, but at least we know that she is a genuine stayer. If anywhere near fit, she can play a part. Pochard is another without a recent outing, and is still a maiden, but she has shown a glimmer of ability on more than one occasion, so has to be respected. Don't Mind Me should land a handicap this season based on two very promising efforts on the sand, while Evolve was not beaten too far at Wolverhampton last time, and may appreciate this drop back in trip. All in all, this is a bit of a guessing game, but in the belief that Mon Petite Amour will stay the trip, she gets the vote.
