    Verdict

    Although he is now set to race off a mark 21lb higher than when his winning run started, Cold Encounter has done nothing to suggest that his form is about to tail off and he is taken to land the four-timer today. Dragon King returned to form last time and is preferred over Flinders and Faraway Citizen for the forecast slot. However, Cold Encounter is a tough and consistent performer and, as he meets his fences with a ready stride, he may still have enough improvement in him to sweep his three rivals aside this afternoon.
