In depth

Verdict

Still Believing is a tough and versatile mare but her best recent performances have come over fences. Heist is also better known as a chaser, though he wasn’t beaten far in a pipe-opener over hurdles at Hexham last month. There is nothing wrong with Benenden’s recent form over this sort of trip but he’s still creeping up the rating. HOLLIES PEARL (NAP) was having her first run in more than a year at Ayr last month. She never figured that day but it’s hard to believe that Peter Bowen’s mare, more than useful on her day, won’t have gleaned considerable benefit from that outing. Very Extravagant is preferred to Minella Rebellion of the others.
