In depth

Verdict

Quite The Getaway found the company too hot at Cheltenham after an earlier second at Warwick and is sailing in calmer waters here. MADAM RYDER was never really travelling when fifth at Southwell but she’ll have come on a bundle for the experience and this galloping track will play more to her strengths. Nico de Boinville prefers her to stablemate and newcomer Aston Martini. Shakeyatailfeather has placed in a point but David Pipe’s debutante Walk Of The Roses looks a better long-term prospect being a half-sister to a hurdles winner in Ireland.
