    Verdict

HESPERIS led into the straight but didn't quite get home on ground with some give at Epsom and today's quicker going and shorter trip is in his favour. Saulire Star also led for a long way over the same track and trip but stopped very quickly when headed. Beowulf made the running over today's trip at Yarmouth but weakened quickly while Mountain Ash has never been further than a mile. Dancing Master's one decent effort came over this trip on fast going at Salisbury so isn't ruled out.
