In depth

Verdict

This is a decent handicap for the time of year with several holding solid claims. Imperial Knight wasn’t winning out of turn at Warwick last month and Umndeni was only beaten a length at Taunton on his return to action. Bobhopeornohope is having a first outing since pulled up at Doncaster in January and wouldn’t want any further rain while a step up in trip is not certain to suit fellow novice Little Awkward. Along with Poker Play and Geordie Des Champs, MORNING SPIRIT ended up well beaten at Warwick in March. That wasn’t his true running and, rested since, Jonjo O’Neill’s mud-lover can get his career back on track today.
