RAMAMARA steps down in class having raced in Listed company recently and David Evans' charge is our pick in this handicap with Skyfire considered along with Kirsty's Boy. You can pretty much ignore the last two runs from the pick as she was outclassed against much better opposition than she faces here. Back in these ranks she looks well weighted and conditions should be no problem. After a game win in a maiden Skyfire ran too bad to be true on his handicap bow. He should be capable of much more but does now have it all to prove. Kirsty's Boy comes into this off the back of two wins in plating class races on the all-weather. He doesn't look that well treated on his return to turf and he would like a bit of rain to soften things up. Basle wasn't beaten that far on his handicap debut and off the same mark has every chance of going close and Fayre Bella improved bucket loads on her second start to win a maiden over course and distance so has claims based on that but her rating is not a stand out. A really good race this and Ramamara can take advantage of a step down in class.
