      Verdict

      LORD RAGNAR should have learned plenty from his debut fourth over fences behind The Minack at Newbury. Successful twice over hurdles last season, the step up to 3m shouldn't be a problem for the eight-year-old who may have too much class for his rivals. Jokers Legacy will have needed his reappearance at Chepstow and was a thorough stayer over timber. He may give the selection most to do if jumping adequately as Massini Man hasn't been seen since winning a novices' handicap at Newton Abbot last August and Acrai Rua was pulled up over hurdles at Fontwell on his return to action. Sunsalve hasn't really taken to fences so far and is also best watched at present.
