SUNDAE BEST produced his best effort so far when dropped in trip at Newcastle last month. He finished a close second after being caught in the final strides by Transact and looks capable of going one better here for the yard that won this race last year. Bumper winner Eagle Owl has disappointed over hurdles and was well beaten here last time, but Vin Rose looks to be getting her act together and has been placed on her last two starts. Baraathen was expected to do better on his handicap debut in October but showed enough in a maiden hurdle before that to suggest he can figure in this.
