In depth

Verdict

A disappointing turn out for the prize money on offer but it represents a good opportunity for Strong Magic who gets the TEAMtalk vote. The 10-year-old has proved a model of consistency this term having twice finished runner-up in slightly better grade off similar marks. Easton Gale took this event twelve months ago and is well treated off a 1lb higher mark but ran poorly on his comeback last month and can't be backed with confidence while Emperor's Magic and Stanmore both appear to be high enough in the weights after recent wins.
