Verdict

Peter Toole is good value for his 7lbs claim and he can steer EDGEFOUR to victory; the list of dangers is headed by Doctor Robert and Sir Quigley. The selection has been kept busy over the summer and she ran a sound race when last seen out over 2m4f when she chased home Thehonourablelady at Worcester. The front pair came a little way clear that day so it was a sound effort. Both her wins over hurdles have come over 2m so the drop back to this trip today is a significant factor and she can resume winning ways. Tim Vaughan is in good form and Doctor Robert looks the chief danger. He won a novices handicap hurdle at Wincanton earlier in the month to open his account over timber and as he is relatively new to his current trainer, there is reason to assume that there might be more to come. Sir Quigley has taken a while to get his act together, but he did win last time out at Hexham, albeit in a moderate contest. That win might give him a confidence boost and he does have ground conditions to suit. Chalice Welcome is having his 14th start over hurdles today and the best form he can boast so far in this sphere is a couple of placed efforts. He looks one to take on, while What's Up Doc has been in good form of late, on the level and over hurdles and he looks to have a chance. This looks a good opportunity for Edgefour who is taken to resume winning ways.
