A tough contest to call here for punters with many in opposition closely matched including Day Du Roy, Joshua's Bay and Knocktopher Abbey and we will take a chance on Day Du Roy. The five year old won well a couple of runs ago when defeating Mamboesque at Haydock, then he was a fair fifth in a much better race behind Meldrum Star. This race looks much easier and he will be hard to beat with conditions to suit. Joshua's Bay rates the main danger on his best form but he gave the impression he was in the handicappers grip when fourth behind Tee-Jay last time so for that reason is over looked on this occasion. Knocktopher Abbey is well weighted on her best form and ran as if returning to somewhere near her best when fourth behind Gebora last time.Of the remainder Mr Gisby won in good style when defeating Jawwala last time out in a novices hurdle and he could be well weighted for this his handicap debut but in a tricky affair we are happy to sick with Day Du Roy.
