Teme Valley is selected in an open contest, with Siegfrieds Night, Jimmy Byrne, Un Autre Espere and Keep On Movin' all in with chances. Teme Valley lines up as the only recent winner here, and hopes are high that he can score away from his beloved Sedgefield. The 11-year-old gained his 11th success there last month on what transpired to be his final start for Howard Johnson, and now pays his first ever visit to Fakenham. Richard Guest obviously feels that he will act round these tight turns, and as the veteran is still well handicapped, he is worth chancing, especially with Paul O'Neill taking five-pounds off his back. Siegfrieds Night is a past course and distance winner, while the selection's stablemate Jimmy Byrne has been a model of consistency, but his wins have all been gained on galloping tracks. Un Autre Espere races from out of the handicap but has caught the eye of late, and Tony McCoy has been booked for Keep On Movin' who hails from a predominantly Flat stable. There are many ifs and buts in this tricky affair, but it would be nice to see Teme Valley prove that he is no 'one track pony.'
