Verdict

David Pipe has been firing in the winners this year and can continue the run with chasing newcomer MAMLOOK. who landed a Grade 2 handicap over timber at Ascot a year ago but had his greatest day when taking the Chester Cup in May. He will have been well schooled over fences and easily has the beating of Tullamore Dew on that Ascot run as Nick Gifford's charge was receiving weight that day and beaten a long way. His two recent victories over fences sees him conceding weight to Mamlook and that may prove beyond him. Quo Video won three times over hurdles early last year but was tailed off on his chasing bow at Southwell recently while the maiden point-to-pointer Maringo Bay was beaten out of sight over hurdles at Fontwell in November.
