    Verdict

    Ilie Nastase is better over further and has gone 18 starts since his last victory while Desert Dreamer has been beaten in sellers already this year and would be better off in a handicap. Avon River just comes out best on official figures but his best recent form has been over a mile and he was outpaced over this trip at Lingfield last time, though in a better race than this. SAMARINDA has won nine times from 39 starts on Polytrack and this is his trip. He has a couple pounds to find with Avon River on the ratings but still looks worthy of the vote.
