Everready ran with credit on his first start since leaving the stable of Philip Hobbs and has to be respected in a poor contest but preference is for Withthelads, who gets the verdict over Mondeed. The last mentioned sprung a surprise when scoring over course and distance last month before disappointing at Worcester on his next start. A 13lb rise since that previous success leaves Mondeed with more to do and preference is for Withthelads. The Lawrence Wells-trained gelding at Exeter on Wednesday but had previously won well at Plumpton and looks worth another chance in a poor contest. Waynesworld reverts to hurdling after three runs over fences and does not appear to be well treated, while Road King and Kapska appear little better than moderate. Withthelads gets the vote.
