Guilsborough Gorse should be capable of beating Tirley Storm and Upham Lord in the finale. A proven winner on fast ground, Guilsborough Gorse put up an encouraging effort at Market Rasen over an inadequate trip and he should be much more at home over this extended three miles. Tirley Storm is prone to make jumping errors in his races and will need to have ironed out these in order to be taking a hand here. That said, he does run well around here. He finished ahead of Nosam on their most recent meeting. Upham Lord has been a prolific point-to-point winner in his time. He has been slightly disappointing in Hunter Chases and Tom Scudamore replaces his regular rider on this occasion. Nephite seems to save his best performances for when the mud is flying. Gale Star did have some form for Dessie Hughes on a faster surface. He is watched in the market in case of any positive signs. Poly Amnashaa is a confirmed fast ground horse. He ran modestly on two recent starts but is a previous course winner. Guilsborough Gorse is selected.
