Verdict

Emanic should win this race but will scarcely be at a price that one would ever want to take with confidence. A frustrating sort over hurdles, he held every chance of breaking his duck over fences before slipping on the turn at Warwick. On official figures, he is clear but he was greatly flattered by his proximity to the winner last time out. In The Frame has to give weight away on this occasion. Well beaten in two chases thus far, he has it all to do. Squeeze appears to barely stay out two miles and is similarly dismissed. Kercabellec has shown little since leaving Nicky Henderson's yard a couple of seasons ago. Waziya and Kicking Bear appear out of their depth. Emanic is likely to be a short price but it would be difficult to see him engineering a way to lose this one.
