A less than inspiring contest and although San Marco has the ability to win this, he isn't one to rely on and we prefer the chance of Buz Kiri, who comes into this on the back of a sound effort at Towcester last week. That was his first venture into selling company, which clearly suited well, and with Tony McCoy again doing the steering looks the one to be with. He holds Rayware Boy on that effort. San Marco didn't shape too badly here last month and will appreciate the drop in class, but he isn't straightforward and is best watched. Water King has shown precious little over timber, but this is a drop in class for him and is one to keep an eye on if the market speaks in his favour, while Castlebridge is an interesting Northern raider, especially with Mick Fitzgerald taking the reins. Caroline's Rose will appreciate the stronger handling of Tom Doyle having been partnered by an amateur in her last three runs, but we are happy to stick with Buz Kiri, who is taken to finally lose his maiden tag.
