This doesn't look the strongest of maidens and even though the booking of the champion for Prince Du Soleil catches the eye, this looks an ideal opportunity for Treasure Trail to make a winning debut over hurdles. A useful handicapper on the flat (rated 83 at best), he surely only has to put in a clear round to take care of these. Prince Du Soleil, the winner of a couple of soft ground contests in France, isn't guaranteed to stay, even on a track as sharp as this, while Tojoneski normally plies his trade in sellers on the flat, but such is the lack of quality here, it isn't hard to see him running into a place. Balla D'aire, a winner between the flags was of little account when last seen under rules. Summer Stock wasn't disgraced in a better contest at Aintree recently and will appreciate this easier grade. He, along with Irish import Mondeed are worthy of consideration, but Sylvester Kirk has sent out two winners from two runners over timber this year and Treasure Trail is taken to keep that run going.
