In depth

Verdict

NAVANMAN had shown little in five starts over timber before a much improved display when stepped up in trip at Towcester last week. He has a 7lb penalty to contend with but time may tell he is still very well handicapped. He faces a strong challenge from Izbushka, who made all for a very convincing victory over the course and distance on New Year's Day, his second victory on the track. Minella Bliss is just 3lb higher than his victory at Ludlow in November though that was on quicker ground and Yasir has been well beaten when tackling this sort of trip in the past.
