Champoleon had a couple of hard races in October and didn't look at his best when beaten a long way into third at Punchestown last time. He may have been feeling the effects and should do much better. ARBRE DE VIE showed potential in bumpers before a fine effort when close up third in a strong event at Auteuil. He has a superb pedigree for jumping and can make a successful debut for the champion trainer before going on to better things. Catalaunian Fields looked in need of further when staying on over the minimum at Tipperary so should make progress and Colm Murphy has a good record here. Theturnofthesun won on the Flat for John Gosden and is an interesting entry for new connections.
