Willie Mullins has won the last two of these and Uradel, a dual winner on the Flat in France, is the stable representative here. He started long odds-on when making his hurdling debut at Navan but never looked like winning. He'll no doubt improve but is difficult to select on that basis. Ring Chief won at Sligo from just three starts on the Flat and is an intriguing entry as is another lightly-raced performer in THUNDER ZONE. Gordon Elliott has several entries at the early stage and the son of Shamardal, who has shown potential in three runs on the Flat, is taken to make a winning start over timber. Officieux was well supported on his debut at Gowran and though never getting involved in what looked a strong maiden he was staying on nicely and is expected to get much closer this time.
