Shanroe Al C has won six of 16 starts under Rules and, though returning from a break, goes well fresh. The ground has come in his favour though he's 10lb higher than his last winning mark. Winning hurdler Optical Confusion hadn't shown much over fences before a much better run when second at Leopardstown and a similar effort would see him go close. Rachael Blackmore was on board when AN MARCACH lost his maiden tag under a big weight at Clonmel and, though this is a slightly better race, Des Donovan's charge can defy a 5lb rise and complete a double. La Feline looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Clonmel and started favourite back there next time but ran poorly.
